Africa-Press – Namibia. The Eenhana Town Council raised a total of N$438 500 during a fundraising gala dinner held over the weekend. The event was hosted in support of the upcoming 15th Eenhana Expo, held under the theme ‘Advancing Innovation and Diversification’.
The fundraising gala brought together stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, united in their shared commitment to economic development and inclusive growth in the Ohangwena region.
The evening was officiated by MTC’s chief officer for brand, marketing and communications Tim Ekandjo. In his key remarks, he commended the council for its efforts to drive development through innovation and community engagement.
MTC led the contributions with a pledge of N$70 000. They were followed closely by the Rani Group of Companies, which pledged N$65 000. Meanwhile, First National Bank and Ekandjo each pledged N$50 000.
These were among several other contributions made during the event, bringing the total to N$438 500 in both cash and pledges. The gala dinner not only raised funds but also reaffirmed the importance of the Eenhana Expo as a platform for showcasing entrepreneurship, innovation and investment o
pportunities. As preparations for the 15th Eenhana Expo gain momentum, the town council is calling on more businesses, institutions and individuals to support and participate in the event.
The council invited further participation from institutions and businesses in the 15th Eenhana Expo, taking place from 25 July to 2 August 2025 at the Eenhana Convention Centre.
