Africa-Press – Namibia. A total of one individual and four relay records were established at the fourth short course gala of the season at the Windhoek Swimming Pool last weekend.

A total of one individual and four relay records were established at the fourth short course gala of the season at the Windhoek Swimming Pool last weekend.

The 14-year-old Oliver Durand of Dolphins Swimming Club broke the only individual record when he set a time of 4:41,23 in the Boys 13-14 year 400m individual medley category.

The other records all came in the relays.

In the girls 17-18 year 200m medley relay event, Dolphins Swimming Club set a new record of 2:13,69. The Dolphins team consisted of Tiana Esslinger, Caitlin Coetzer, Lisa Engelhard and Trisha Mutumbulua.

In the boys 13-14 year old 200m medley relay, Dolphins set a new record time of 2:02,46. The Dolphins team consisted of Michael Bauernschmidt, Oliver Durand, Fourie Steyn and Liam Kinniard.

In the boys 15-16 year 200m medley relay the Dolphins team set a new record of 1:57,67. The Dolphins team consisted of Oliver Ohm, Quinn Ellis, Brett Geyser and Robin Engelhard.

In the boys 17-18 year 200m medley relay the Aqua Swimming and Fitness Club set a new record of 1:54,36. The Aqua team consisted of Jordan Bezuidenhout, Armas Magongo, Christopher de Jager and Brave Magongo.

Marco Henning of Dolphins produced the best performance of the gala in terms of Fina points, when he obtained 609 points after winning the boys 19 and over 100m freestyle in 53,00 seconds.

Reza Westerduin of Aqua produced the second best performance of the gala after obtaining 583 Fina points for her time of 2:22,66 in the girls 13-14 200m backstroke.

Oliver Durand produced the third and fourth best performances of the gala. He obtained 582 Fina points for his boys 13-14 400m individual medley record time of 4:41,23, while he received 576 Fina points for his 400m freestyle time of 4:15,05.

Mollina Smalley of Dolphins obtained 571 Fina points for her time of 4:41,82 in the girls 19 and over 400m freestyle.
