Africa-Press – Namibia. The season of goodwill and generosity that is traditional to Namibians is spreading to all corners of the country. The underprivileged and marginalized 382 Koako learners of the Kephas Mezuma Combined School celebrated an early Christmas with their benefactor, Harvey Boulter, with teachers, staff and traditional councillors also on the gift list.
The celebrations were held at the school grounds 30 km north of the Werda gate on the picturesque Omakango Road towards Ruacana and Tsandi. The school accommodates learners from 4 to 19 years old.
Boulter has held the event for the past 11 years, since 2010, and is fast becoming an annual community highlight for parents and traditional leaders of the area.
This year the Kaoko community and parents honoured Boulter with a special, handcrafted walking stick and a course in how to properly walk with it on important occasions.
The school in the Mopane forest was and is still continuously being revamped, and over the years equipped with state-of-the-art computers and a network to enable access to communication. Photos: School Management
