DESPITE an order from the Mbunza Traditional Authority to cease operations while their pastor is being investigated, members of Grace Church situated in Satotwa settlement at Rundu, came out in numbers to attend services on Sunday.
The order to halt operations with immediate effect was given at a hearing held at the Mbunza tribal office at Kapako village last week, after two women from the congregation reported that the self-proclaimed prophet, Sebarius Muronga, had allegedly impregnated them.
Muronga has denied that he impregnated the two women.
“We know that the church is still operating even after clear instructions were given. We are busy drafting a letter to inform the Namibian Police. If the church will continue to operate next week, we will close it by force with the help of the police,” said Sauyemwa headman Timo Hausiku.
When The Namibian visited the church, the journalist was threatened and told to stop taking photographs.
