Africa-Press – Namibia. TOADY Gurirab was the overall winner of the Windhoek Golf & Country Club’s competition last weekend that was sponsored by the Kidney & Dialysis Specialist Centre.
TOADY Gurirab was the overall winner of the Windhoek Golf & Country Club’s competition last weekend that was sponsored by the Kidney & Dialysis Specialist Centre.
The competition attracted 35 players while the format was individual stableford.
Gurirab won with a score of 39, followed by Jacobus Maartens on 38, who beat Helmut Ndjendja on a count-out.
They were followed by Heinco Schmidt on 37, Ewald Steenkamp on 35, Gerhard van Rooyen (34), and Johannes Goagoseb and Ruan Huysamen on 33 each.
Nearest to the pin prizes were also won by Ian Wood on the third hole, Johannes Goagoseb (ninth hole), Simon Celliers (13th hole) and Corneels Jafta (17th hole).
The club will present the third Namibre betterball club competition this coming Saturday, 27 August.
