Africa-Press – Namibia. The health ministry will soon make an announcement on administering Covid-19 booster shots and making vaccination jabs available to children under the age of 18.
The ministry’s deputy executive director Petronella Masabane said on Monday that booster shots and under-18 vaccination were among the issues now being interrogated at executive level.
“You can expect an announcement possibly during the course of this week or early next week after the special Cabinet meeting scheduled for this Friday,” she said.
The scientific committee and case management pillar, which initially did the research into booster shots and vaccinating under-18s, includes experts from the World Health Organisation and the Centres for Disease Control, who have been studying the mixing and matching of vaccines in Namibia.
