Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs (MODVA) has issued a warning to the public in the Oshana and Oshikoto regions, particularly farmers in Uulunga Wakolondo and surrounding areas, regarding a military live firing training exercise by the Namibian Defence Force. The exercise is scheduled to take place tomorrow, May 23rd.
The training exercise will commence at 7:00 AM and continue until 6:00 PM, involving the use of various weapons and loud explosions that will be audible from the training centre. Farmers are advised to relocate their grazing animals from the area. The Defence Ministry also cautions the general public against entering the designated areas on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, as it poses a risk to both humans and animals.
