Africa-Press – Namibia. President Hage Geingob has said he was cheated in Swapo congress elections, but he did not condemn party leaders.
“I was defeated twice. Cheated actually. I did not die,” Geingob said during the opening of the seventh Swapo congress in Windhoek on Friday morning.
He said he has heard that some members are threatening to form their own parties if they lose at congress.
“The lesson is don’t complain and condemn the leaders. Take it if you are defeated. I would not have been the president if I did that,” he said.
