Africa-Press – Namibia. Namibia’s 33rd independence anniversary will be celebrated at Outapi in the Omusati Region.

This was announced in a statement issued today by the Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology executive director, Audrin Mathe.

He said the celebration will go by the theme, “a people united for prosperity.”

“President Hage Geingob will deliver the keynote address,” Mathe said.

Mathe added that Namibia’s independence day, celebrated every year since 1990 on 21 March, is marked to celebrate the nation’s freedom, independence, sovereignty and self-determination.

“Preparations are underway for this year’s celebrations and the government wishes to invite Namibians from all parts of the country to come together and celebrate the selfless acts of sacrifice, whilst reaffirming our unity and patriotism that fosters pride and duty towards the prosperity of our nation,” he said.

He added that the public will be treated to various cultural and musical performances and other entertainment activities.
