Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) member Dina Namubes has been sworn in as a new member of the Swakopmund Town Council.
Namubes, who took her oath as town councillor at the Swakopmund municipal offices on Monday, replaces Louisa Kativa, a former mayor of the town.
Kativa (IPC) was elected as regional councillor for the Swakopmund constituency in August, in a by-election in which she received 3 625 of 9 918 votes cast.
