Africa-Press – Namibia. In a move to create a mutually beneficial relationship between Namibia and Japan, minister of international relations and trade Selma Ashipala-Musavyi has invited Japanese companies to explore business opportunities in Namibia.
Ashipala-Musavyi extended this invitation during an interview with the Japanese News Agency, Kyoto.
She told Kyoto Namibia is open for Japanese entrepreneurs and investors to explore opportunities in Namibia for economic cooperation.
“Namibia is open for business,” she said.
Ashipala-Musavyi cited the recent agreement with Toyota Tshusho Cooperation in Yokohama on green energy and iron ore as a potential for Japanese investors to establish themselves in Namibia.
She emphasised the importance of building resilience and technological collaboration.
She highlighted Namibia’s vision for rare earth minerals with a focus on adding value to create opportunities for its people.
She expressed gratitude for Japan’s support during Covid-19. Japan also supported the implementation of the African Free Trade Continental Area
