Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Khomas region has recorded the delivery of 37 babies on the first day of the year. This includes 19 boys and 18 girls, as well as two sets of twin girls.
The Katutura Intermediate Hospital recorded the highest number of New Year’s Day births, with nine boys and eight girls, with the first baby being born at 00h02.
Windhoek Central Hospital delivered seven girls and six boys, including one set of twin girls, while Mediclinic Windhoek also recorded the birth of twin girls, as well as two boys.
Lady Pohamba Private Hospital delivered two baby boys, while one baby girl was delivered at Rhino Park Private Hospital.
