Africa-Press – Namibia. KINGSLEY Kwenani, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Meatco’s subsidiary for the Northern Communal Area (NCA), has been appointed Deputy Executive Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform.
This appointment was announced by Regina Valombola, the ministry’s spokesperson, who confirmed that it takes effect from 1 September 2025.
“Kwenani brings 30 years of experience in the agriculture sector. Prior to this appointment, he served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of Meatco and Chief Executive Officer of Meatco NCA (Pty) Ltd. He holds an MBA from Regent Business School and a Master of Agriculture from the University of Pretoria,” Valombola said.
Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata, Executive Director of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, expressed support for the appointment, noting that Kwenani’s expertise will help advance the ministry’s goals of fostering a supportive environment, formulating effective strategies, and implementing programs to improve food and nutrition security for all Namibians.
