Africa-Press – Namibia. NAMIBIANS from all walks of life participated in a march in Swakopmund, Erongo region, marking the beginning of the National Symbols Campaign. Participants proudly adorned themselves in national colours.
According to Audrin Mathe, the Executive Director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), the objective of the campaign is to enhance patriotism by educating citizens about the importance of national symbols and promoting the correct usage of protocols and etiquette.
The campaign, in collaboration with key stakeholders responsible for reinforcing and amplifying protocols related to national symbols and the national anthem, aims to educate Namibians about the significance of these symbols and foster a sense of patriotism, the ministry added.
MICT also said that the National Symbols Campaign will be implemented in all 14 regions of the country.
