Africa-Press – Namibia. ALEX Miller and Monique du Plessis won the Elite Men and Women’s titles at the Nedbank National MTB XCO Championships on Saturday.
Miller comfortably won the men’s race over six laps in one hour 19 minutes 18 seconds, to finish nearly four minutes ahead of Xavier Papo (1:23:10), while Marc Epler came third in 1:32:51.
Du Plessis won the women’s race over five laps in 1:25:07, finishing nearly seven minutes ahead of Nicola Fester (1:31:59), while Marion Schoneke came third (1:35:38).
Bergran Jensen won the u23 men’s category over six laps in 1:23:37, followed by Simon Kaita (1:36:04) and JG van der Westhuizen (1:39:16), while Cindy Rowland won the u23 women’s category over four laps in 1:37:43.
Kevin Lowe won the junior men’s category over five laps in 1:07:17, followed by Daniel Hahn (1:12:21) and Adrian Key (1:12:37).
