Africa-Press – Namibia. he Oshakati Independence Stadium was this morning the scene of the Namibian Police’s largest graduation ceremony ever, with close to 1,800 cadet constables—a substantial increase from 1,060 cadets last year. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah officiated at the event, which was also attended by Home Affairs Minister Lucia Iipumbu and other senior politicians, traditional and religious leaders, as well as members of the local community. Relatives and friends of the graduands flocked to the event from all corners of the country. Informal traders lined the streets, mostly selling flowers and soft drinks. Photos: Placido Hilukilwa.
