Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibian Police Force has announced the transfer, promotion and appointment of officers, effective from 1 June.

Khomas regional crime coordinator Deputy Commissioner Nikolaus Kupembona, who joined the force in 1994, has been promoted to the rank of Commissioner and appointed the new head of the Erongo Region.

Kupembona replaces Commissioner Andreas Nelumbu, who has been appointed as the attaché to Luanda, Angola. Nelumbu replaces retired Commissioner Nicholas Endjala.

According to a statement issued by Nampol, Kupembona served in various fields as a detective that not only successfully investigated cases locally, but also earned international recognition.

“He also served in the Peacekeeping Support Mission in the Kingdom of Lesotho,” Nampol stated.

Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo has been transferred from the ||Karas Region and appointed the new Khomas regional crime coordinator, replacing Kupembona.

Chief Inspector Nicodemus Mbango from the Otjozondjupa regional crime coordination division has been appointed the ||Karas regional crime coordinator and promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner.
