Namra launches uniform

Africa-Press – Namibia. The Namibia Revenue Agency (Namra) on Thursday launched the Customs and Excise uniform during the commemoration of the International Customs Day at Oshikango in the Ohangwena region.

Speaking during the launch, the revenue agency commissioner Sam Shivute urged all law enforcement officers, including customs and police officers, to work hard at ensuring that they work together to protect the revenue of the country.

“What is due to the state must go to the state. In the past, the state has been cheated by people who order goods from outside the country, but when it comes to declaring their goods they cheat by not declaring the full amount. No more cheating the government. We need to ensure that all dues are paid so that we can build schools and hospitals, among others,” said Shivute.
