FOUR national title fights will precede the Never Walk Alone exhibition bout between King Tee Dee and Tim Ekandjo on 15 October.
Popular muso King Tee Dee will take on the Never Walk Alone initiative founder Ekandjo for the ‘undisputed catchweight title’ to generate funding towards the project’s core objective, which is to provide a new pair of shoes to bare-footed kids across Namibia.
“The undercard consists of professional boxers with four national titles on the line to give boxing fans exactly what they need. The public was asked to suggest who they want to see in the ring and after back and forth negotiations with various boxing stables we are now satisfied that we can reveal the full undercard,” the organisers said.
The main supporting bout is between Festus Simeon and Erastus Jonas for the Namibian flyweight title.
Before that, Martin ‘Alegator’ Mukungu and Immanuel Jason will trade leather for national featherweight belt, with Nestor Thomas fighting Salaties Moses for the bantamweight crown. Sakaria Amutja and Bernard Bernard for the welterweight strap, as Paulus Amavila takes on Morsande Johannes for the junior welterweight title
The event is scheduled to take place at the Windhoek Country Club Resort.
