NEDBANK Namibia financed N$11 billion worth of loans for local residential property and key projects in the country in 2021.

Of this amount, N$5 billion fell under the home loan division.

This was said by Nedbank Namibia’s chief financial officer, JG van Graan, at the awards ceremony for estate agents and agencies who performed well during 2021 on Thursday.

“Every time you assist clients, you are aiding them in realising their dream of becoming homeowners. Seeing how you go above and beyond to provide financial advice throughout the selling and buying process shows just how much you resonate with the Nedbank purpose of being money experts who do good.

“We want to continue our commitment in playing a pivotal role in supporting the growth in our home loan division,” Van Graan said.

The award ceremony took place at the Nedbank Campus Sky Garden, where agents received certificates and cash vouchers for their outstanding performance.

Welcoming the guests was Nedbank Namibia’s head of home loans, Riaan Keulder, who provided a short reflection on 2021.

“Interesting times have taught us to multitask and optimise ourselves to deliver world-class service to our clients and stakeholders. We are here tonight to celebrate the impeccable business we received in 2021 and award the agents and agencies responsible for assisting us in reaching our set goals,” Keulder said.

Nedbank honoured agents and agencies under different categories, which included agents accumulating business exceeding N$3 million, the estate agent of the year, and the estate agency of the year.

Anita Dames, Cathy Kruger, Claudia Lofty-Eaton, Gretha dos Santos, Helvi Megameno, Lionel McPherson, Lona van Wyk, Louisa Schurz, Lourette Liebenberg, Lucas Boshoff, Lusia Hango, Lydia Kazimbu, Marion Wolf, Star Nghiyolwa, Stefanie Dames, Stefanus Somseb, and Tanya Kuhn each received certificates for closing home loan deals exceeding N$3 million.
