Africa-Press – Namibia. NAMIBIAN Defence Force chief Martin Pinehas has appointed a new defence attaché to Germany.

Group captain Cecilia Kazaronda will replace colonel Samuel Lugambo, whose term of office as defence attaché to Germany will come to an end on 28 February.

Her term will commence on 1 March.

This was announced on the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs Facebook page on Thursday.

Pinehas urged the newly appointed defence attaché to commit to identifying and implementing areas of mutual interest that seek to consolidate long-standing relations between the Namibian Defence Force and the Federal Defence Forces of Germany.

Kazaronda was the senior staff officer command, control and communication under the directorate of information, communication and technology at the defence ministry’s headquarters.
