Africa-Press – Namibia. The minister of finance and public enterprises Iipumbu Shiimi has extended the term of office of the Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) board for another three months.
According to NWR spokesperson Nelson Asgipala, the board will serve until 14 March.
The board, chaired by ambassador Leonard lipumbu and Janet Wilson Moore as his deputy, has already served two terms that ended on 14 June.
They remained in office for six months pending the finalisation of the recruitment of new board members.
“In the appointment letter, minister Shiimi, announced that the new board’s recruitment is still to be finalised, hence the extension of the current team,” said Ashipala.
Other members of the NWR board are Elize Petersen, Ruddie Putter, Bernd Schneider, Eva Shifotoka and Carol Williams.
