Africa-Press – Namibia. PREPARATIONS for the Ondangwa Trade Show are in full swing, with the event scheduled to run from 2 to 6 May in just four days.

Around 15,000 locals and visitors are expected to attend the trade expo, where more than 100 exhibitors will present their wares.

This year’s theme, “A Decade of Continuous Business Support and Innovation,” reflects the show’s goal of promoting business in the region for the past 10 years.

Town spokesperson Petrina Shitalangaho-Mutikisha said the exhibition’s specific objectives are to raise funds to boost enterprises and ensure business sustainability in Ondangwa and the region.

She said they want to assist the business community in networking, marketing, and promoting their products and services.

Shitalangaho-Mutikisha added that the exhibition will provide an excellent platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to rise again.

“The safety and security of the event is guaranteed as we have contracted a reputable security company to safeguard the people and properties as well as Nampol,” she added.

Moreover, Shitalangaho-Mutikisha indicated that exhibitors such as the Ministry of Home Affairs and MTC will be present.

She noted that the public can come and register their SIM cards and address national documentation issues with their service provider.

Meanwhile, Namib Mills is expected to offer training to micro business owners for the entire trade exhibition.
