Africa-Press – Namibia. CHAIRPERSON of the Ondonga Traditional Council Vilho Kamanya has died.
He was 74.
Secretary of the traditional authority Frans Enkali made the announcement on behalf of Ondonga chief Fillemon Nangolo on Sunday.
Kamanya served as a senior traditional counsellor for Amuteya district from 2007 until his death on 31 December 2021.
Kamanya is one of the founding members of the National Council.
He served as governor of Oshikoto region and also as the first councillor of Onyaanya constituency.
He is survived by his wife Hilma and children. Funeral arrangements are underway.
