Africa-Press – Namibia. The 21st edition of Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) which runs from 26 August 2022 to 01 September 2022 under the theme “Gearing for a Smart Economy” is an opportunity for the local economy to flourish.
The Ongwediva town council has been hard at work preparing the town for this event, especially in road maintenance, town cleaning and providing guidance to street vendors.
A number of business communities have been approached to ensure customer service of a high standard. All service providers in Ongwediva and the surrounding are expected to welcome guests with humility and a sense of urgency.
“Together with utilities such as Namwater and NORED, we shall do all possible to ensure that services are not interrupted unless on emergency occurrences. However, we will communicate timeously and accurately if such happens,” said the organisers.
The preparations over the past week with the Namibian Police and security companies can be sufficient to confirm that security is adequate. However, individuals must be vigilant to ensure their own safety first.
The Police have indicated readiness for the trade fair, hence all residents and visitors are urged to know the phone numbers of police stations.
The town is ready for seven days of excitement and embraces the innovation brought by the Trade Fair.
