Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Oniimwandi Annual Football Tournament (OAFT) will be held from 26 to 27 December at Oniimwandi village on the outskirts of Oshakati.
Chief organiser Hilifavali Iipumbu told The Namibian football teams from villages and towns surrounding Oniimwandi are encouraged to register to take part.
Iipumbu called on local businesses to support the OATF to promote football in the country, and said N$10 000 will be up for grabs at the tournament.
The first-place winner will walk away with a trophy, N$4 000 and gold medals, while second place is worth N$2 500 and silver medals.
The third-place winner will receive N$1 500 and bronze medals, with the player of the tournament and top goal scorer receiving N$500 each.
Registration for teams to take part is N$800.
