Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibian Police Force in the Oshana Region on Thursday announced a significant strengthening of its leadership ranks with the promotion of 17 dedicated officers.
The announcement was made by Oshana Police Commander, Commissioner Naftal Lungameni Sakaria, during the official launch of “Operation New Era” at the police headquarters in Oshakati.
The newly elevated officers include 12 Sergeants, four Warrant Officers, and one Inspector, all recognized for their consistent service and unwavering commitment to upholding law and order within the region.
Addressing the newly promoted officers and the wider police force during the launch event, Sakaria urged them to maintain the critical role of effective service delivery at all levels.
“We need effective officers wherever you find yourself; just work. We will identify you and recommend you to the Inspector General, and we will place you where we feel you can perform,” he said.
Sakaria further encouraged all officers to strive for excellence in their duties, assuring them of ample opportunities for professional growth within the Namibian Police Force.
“There is no roof; all one needs to do is perform to the best of their ability and leave the growth with the seniors to elevate the deserving officers,” he added.
The Police Commander specifically lauded the 17 promoted officers for their unwavering dedication to maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of the Oshana community.
He acknowledged their hard work and steadfast commitment to serving the region.
Further, in a move highlighting the importance of all components within the police force, Sakaria also recognized the valuable contributions of civilian staff members and personnel from the forensics and pathology departments.
Thus, certificates of achievement were presented to various individuals within these departments for their exceptional performance in the execution of their duties.
