KUNENE police are still appealing to the public for help in tracing the whereabouts of Museke Mukonda, a suspect who escaped from the Outjo Magistrate’s Court on 22 August.
The 19-year-old suspect was arrested on 18 August for allegedly stealing a solar pump at Farm Randte in Outjo area that day.
According to Kunene regional crime investigations coordinator deputy commissioner Paavo Iyambo, Mukonda, who was detained at the Outjo holding cells, allegedly escaped while he was under police guard.
He faces two charges of theft of solar pumps and solar panels.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mukonda should contact the head of criminal investigation unit at Outjo, warrant officer Immanuel Kausiona, on 0816499249 or the nearest police station.
