Africa-Press – Namibia. THE National Assembly is set to resume on Tuesday following three months of recess.
This was announced in a media statement issued on Monday afternoon. National Assembly spokesperson David Nahongandja said the politicians missed out on 12 days of sitting in addition to their recess.
In June, the National Assembly suspended the session due to Covid-19 cases surging among members of parliament and the staff. The suspension ran into the recess.
“The house was compelled to go into break during the second half of its third session in June this year due to an increase of Covid-19 cases around the country,” Nahongandja said.
