Prime minister rejects 'digital investment bank scheme'

Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has distanced itself from a message circulating on social media alleging that prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila is promoting an online digital investment bank.

In a statement OPM spokesperson Rhingo Mutambo says the message is titled ‘Wealth with Saara Kuugongelwa/Eco Nad Bank’.

“The Office of the Prime Minister hereby informs the nation that the message is not authentic. The prime minister is not part of any such scheme,” he says.

Mutambo says the public must be cautious to avoid becoming victims of fraudulent schemes seeking to defraud them.
