Africa-Press – Namibia. ROAD Safety Activation with key road safety stakeholders at Oshiko roadblock on January 4th and 5th, 2024, was primarily conducted to screen vehicles and assess driver fitness, aiming to improve road safety on our roads.
Executive Officer of the Transportation Road Authority, Sidney Boois, mentioned that the Roads Authority (RA) has newly acquired a Mobile Vehicle Testing Station (MVTS), which is deployed to raise awareness about its high-tech equipment among road users.
According to Boois, the instrument is capable of checking service brakes, emergency brakes, and wheel alignment.
Public members around Ongwediva and Oshakati are encouraged to bring their vehicles for screening and advice.
