Rugby finals postponed again

Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibian club rugby finals will not take place on Saturday after a disciplinary hearing into the dispute remained unresolved last night.

The Namibia Rugby Union on Friday morning issued a statement saying that the disciplinary committee hearing had been adjourned to 13h00 on Friday. However, the parties involved have the right to appeal the outcome, with the result that it could still stretch on for a few days.

“Thus the finals that were scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed until the conclusion of the process, which seems to be next week,” the press release concluded.

It is the second time that the Premier League and Reserve League finals have been postponed, after one of the clubs raised ‘serious allegations’ about the outcome of the semifinals two weeks ago, and the NRU has since tried to resolve the issue, but to no avail.
