Africa-Press – Namibia. The South West Africa National Union (Swanu) is due to announce on Wednesday that Barry Rukoro will feature on the party’s parliamentary list.
This was revealed by Swanu secretary general Wendy Christian on Tuesday.
“Swanu has urgent announcements to make in light of the upcoming elections, of which Rukoro joined the parliamentary list of Swanu,” she says.
Rukoro is currently a member of the National Unity Democratic Organisation (Nudo), and has been aspiring to become the party’s president.
Rukoro confirmed to The Namibian on Tuesday that he is joining the Swanu parliamentary list.
“Whether I am still in Nudo, let’s talk about that tomorrow,” he said.
