Africa-Press – Namibia. SANTASTICO maintained their lead in the Express Credit Namibian Futsal Men’s Premier League after winning both their matches at the Windhoek Showgrounds over the weekend.

On Saturday evening they beat The Mavericks 2-0, while they thumped SBS Trucking 11-2 the next morning to move up to 18 points from six matches at the top of the log.

The Patriots are second, three points behind, after winning two of their three matches. They started off with a 4-3 defeat to the Ballers, but then beat Replica 8-3, and Chile Futsal Club 5-4 to move up to 15 points on the log.

Chile and Galacticos share third place on 13 points each, although Galacticos have a match in hand. Besides their defeat to Replica, Chile picked up two wins, thumping Selecao 8-1, and beating Wolves Futsal Club 3-0.

Galacticos picked up two victories against Selecao (5-2) and Ballers (3-1) but they were held to a high-scoring 6-6 draw by Ballers. The X Men are fifth on the log on 12 points, after beating both Walvis Bay Boys and Wolves Futsal Club 3-0.

Quality and Windhoek Futsal Club follow on 10 points from five matches each. Quality beat Selecao 4-3, while Windhoek FC beat both Walvis Bay FC and Wolves FC 3-0. In another match, SBS Trucking beat Walvis Bay 3-0 to go ninth on the log on seven points, while Walvis Bay are second last on zero points.

Seven Kings Futsal Club and City Stars Futsal Club lead Group A of the First Division on nine points from three matches each, followed by Samba Boys on seven points. Flying V and Minerals FC lead Group B on nine points from three matches each, followed by Ineos Grenadier FC on seven points from three matches.

The Women’s First Division is developing into a tight race with three teams – Ramblers I, Rightway FC and Unam I – sharing the lead on six points from two matches each.

Physically Active Youth lead the Girls u17 league on six points, followed by Girls Football Academy II, Orange Babies I, and Royal International Academy on three points each, while Windhoek City Sports Club lead the Boys u17 league on 10 points, followed by Royal International Academy B on six, and V Power B and Windhoek FC on three points each.
