Africa-Press – Namibia. Swapo secretary general Sophia Shaningwa has urged the party’s structures and wings to adhere to the provisions of the party’s constitution during their restructuring processes to be conducted prior 2022’s elective congress.
Shaningwa, who was speaking at the opening of the Swapo Party Elders Council’s central committee on Saturday in Windhoek, said during these processes, party leaders at various levels must maintain unity.
She urged them to avoid disputes which could lead to “unnecessary court cases between party members”. Shaningwa further called on all Swapo structures to prepare their inputs towards the party’s national policy conference to be held early next year.
