Africa-Press – Namibia. NORTHERN business mogul Banda Shilimela has announced that he will be retiring from business.

The 51-year-old from the Ekamba village near Oshigambo in the Oshikoto Region, becomes one of the very rare cases of a businessman retiring from business in the country.

He entered the business world 22 years ago.

His retirement comes into effect on the 31st of December.

He will become an ordinary citizen doing voluntary work.

“I am leaving business and I am becoming a full time volunteer mentoring upcoming business people to achieve success in their business,” he said.

He added that, through his business, he managed to establish himself well and is now saying “goodbye”.

Shilimela has so far managed to establish 70 companies across Africa, Asia, America and the rest of the globe and employed more than 4 000 people.

His business ventures range from various sectors such as security, manufacturing, entertainment, aviation, property, tourism, brewery, e-commerce, courier, car rental, tow-in, medical, ambulances and many more.

He added that his going to give away his wealth to needy people across the country.

He also plans to transfer his wealth to the employees and serve as advice when the need arises.

Shilimela noted that he managed to groom people that are capable to manage the Empire he has established over years.
