Africa-Press – Namibia. SWAPO Party Youth League (SPYL) secretary Efraim Nekongo said the SPYL has begun investigations into the arrest of Kavango West SPYL regional secretary Bonifatius Muronga at Rundu yesterday, for alleged fraud and bribery
Muronga’s arrest was confirmed to The Namibian by police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi.
“Muronga was arrested yesterday and he is currently at the Rundu Magistrate’s Court. The case was opened in January this year,” Shikwambi said.
Speaking to The Namibian on Wednesday, Nekongo said the SPYL will investigate the matter to determine what led to Muronga’s arrest.
“I cannot say he is arrested or not because I am also seeing it now. But what I can tell you is that we are investigating it. That’s the only comment I can give,” Nekongo said.
