Africa-Press – Namibia. Roger Suren and Anri Greeff both did the double at the Namibian Rotary Club Cycle Classic in Windhoek over the weekend.

On Saturday they won the men and women’s 40km MTB Classic, while on Sunday, they once again reigned supreme in the men and women’s 100km road race.

Suren was a clear winner of the 100km road race winning in 2 hours 36 minutes 24 seconds, while Marco Thiel finished just over a minute behind in 2:37:25, and Denzel de Koe coming third in the same time.

On Saturday, Suren won the men’s 40km MTB race in 1:43:43, followed by Christiaan van der Westhuizen (1:59:56) and Matti Lukaschick (2:05:41).

Greeff won the women’s 100km race in 2:53:57, with Rosemarie Thiel coming second in 2:55:13 and Melissa Hinz third in 3:00:02.

On Saturday Greeff won the women’s 40km MTB race in 2:06:24, followed by Delsia Janse van Vuuren (2:13:23) and Rosemarie Thiel (2:13:29).
