Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Namibian Police are looking for Andreas David Gliso and Kleopas Vetso in connection with the attack Tuesday on a 73-year-old doctor in Swakopmund.
The public is also requested to be on the lookout for the victim’s red VW Polo Vivo, registration number N1198R, in which the suspects fled. Dr. Sean de Jager was violently attacked at around 02:30 when he let two of his adopted son’s friends into his house in the Matutura location.
This incident is the latest in a spate of armed robberies and murders targeting the elderly in the coastal town which has for decades been a popular and safe haven for retirees.
Anyone with information that can lead to the tracing of the suspects and car can contact Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu on 081 246 4757, Detective Chief Inspector Johannes Mwatongwe (081 246 1121) or Detective Inspector Rosa Tjihavero (081 413 7105).
Alternatively, contact the nearest police station. The victim’s adopted son is also requested to contact the police to assist in the investigation. He is believed to be in Rehoboth in the Hardap Region.
