Africa-Press – Namibia. After 67 days on the run, the two men accused of attacking and robbing 73-year-old Dr Sean de Jager were caught in an undercover police operation in the DRC location of Swakopmund on Sunday morning.
According to the Erongo police, the men, 24 and 25 years old respectively, were arrested around 04:00. Andreas David Gliso and Kleopas Vetso reportedly on Tuesday 26 October around 2:30 attacked and robbed De Jager in his house in Swakopmund’s Matutura location.
The elderly man was seriously injured in the assault, and robbed of valuables. The two men fled in the victim’s red VW Polo Vivo. The suspects will appear in the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of robbery with aggravating circumstances and theft of a motor vehicle.
