Africa-Press – Namibia. OHANGWENA regional governor Walde Ndevashiya said that those detractors who accuse Swapo Party leaders of being visible only when there are elections, are not telling the truth.
Ndevashiya made the remarks at a fundraising event for the construction of the party’s Eenhana district office. The event was held on Saturday.
Ndevashiya said that Swapo is visible and has always been visible in the Ohangwena.
“We have always been there and always on the ground,” he said.
Swapo Party Central Committee member Christine //Hoebes, who also addressed the event, said that the involvement of the youth in the party’s affairs makes the party unshakeable.
“The party is united and unbreakable,” she said.
//Hoebes said that opposition parties want to confuse the nation by claiming that Swapo is doing nothing and that only those in the opposition are capable.
“How can they govern the country when they are failing to govern their own political parties,” she asked.
She indicated that many people established their own political parties based on their hatred of Swapo, yet they fail to accomplish anything or show the nation what they intend to do.
Further, //Hoebes urged the youth in the region to never be discouraged or shaken by anyone.
