Africa-Press – Namibia. SWAPO’S top four are currently meeting to decide whether a recount should proceed.
This was confirmed by the party’s election head, Joshua Kaumbi, on Wednesday afternoon.
He said the ruling party’s president Hage Geingob and his second in charge, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, as well as secretary general Sophia Shaningwa and her deputy, Uahekua Herunga, are set to make a decision today on a possible recount.
This comes after concerns raised by delegates from Swapo’s seventh congress, including ministers, on the results announced on Monday.
