Theofelus urges pupils to ‘study hard’

Africa-Press – Namibia. Minister of information and communication technology Emma Theofelus has urged pupils from Nangolo Mbumba Combined school at Omboloka in the Ohangwena region to take pride in who they are and study hard to be future leaders.

She said this on Wednesday during the inauguration of classrooms at the school that houses 905 pupils.

Theofelus applauded the school’s leadership for their commitment to working in an unfavourable environment.

“We should have a collective approach to ensure that children are educated. Pupils, what excuses do you have to not study? You should study hard for yourselves and your nation,” said Theofelus.

Speaking at the same occasion, Ohangwena governor Kadiva Hamutumwa assured parents and pupils that the government is working hard to the benefit of the Namibian child.

“I am happy to see that despite everything, these pupils look very clean, happy and smiling,” she said.
