Africa-Press – Namibia. DEPUTY Minister of Information and Communication Technology Emma Theofilus officially launched the Zambezi Regional National Symbols Campaign.
Theofilus said that the campaign, which was nationally inaugurated in Swakopmund back in June, serves as a powerful platform to raise awareness about the protocols and significance surrounding our precious national symbols.
She made these remarks during the official regional launch of the national symbols campaign on Monday.
“National symbols are not mere emblems; they are the visual representation of our collective identity as Namibians,” she said.
She added that they encapsulate the values, history, and aspirations of our nation.
According to her, our flag, national anthem, coat of arms, and other symbols serve as a unifying force that transcends our individual differences, reminding us of our shared commitment to building a prosperous and harmonious Namibia.
“By understanding and respecting these symbols, we strengthen our national fabric and contribute to the realization of the immense potential that lies within our diverse cultural heritage,” she added.
Theofilus indicated that the National Symbols Campaign is a call to action, urging us to embrace our shared identity and celebrate the rich heritage of our nation.
