Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Tsintsabis Combined School recently received school items and materials worth N$150,000 from the NAMDIA Foundation.

This follows after the school wrote letters to the Foundation last November, requesting funds to be channelled towards the school’s immediate priorities.

Hence, the NAMDIA Foundation donated materials such as 20 chairs and desks worth N$28,841, a Konica Minolta printer worth N$41,742, Grade 10 textbooks from NAMCOL worth N$44,925, an LED HD projector, and JBL box speaker worth N$21,634, a printer and ink cartridge valued at N$10,733, and other few items for the school.

School principal and Regional Youth leader for Oshikoto, Martin-Olembe Antindi, expressed his gratitude towards the assistance offered by NAMDIA, saying it will boost the students’ studies.

“The sponsorship and donation of school materials came at the right and needy time when the school is struggling so much,” he said.

He added that with the newly introduced Grade 10 and extended curriculum this year, this new development came along with some additional challenges.

Tsintabis SC is a remote school in the Oshikoto region, Oshivelo circuit, and has an enrollment of about 800 students from pre-primary to Grade 10.

The NAMDIA Foundation functions as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vehicle of NAMDIA and was founded with the purpose of combating Namibia’s social and economic ills.

The foundation operates under three pillars: Education, Health, and Sports.
