Africa-Press – Nigeria. A Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Monday remanded a 71-year-old man, Dumashi Sabo, who pleaded guilty to defiling a 12-year-old girl at a Nigerian Correctional Centre.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya gave the order following a guilty plea entered by Sabo.
Adekomaiya adjourned the case until July 15 for facts and sentencing.
The prosecution counsel, Inspector Ayodele Adeosun said the defendant committed the offence on July 1, at about 2.00pm at Zongo, Seme Border, Badagry, Lagos.
Adeosun said that the defendant defiled the girl in an offence that contravened the provisions of Sections 261 and 263 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
