Africa-Press – Nigeria. No fewer than 150 Palestinians, including a woman who is nine months pregnant, have mysteriously landed in South Africa without any exit stamp from Israeli authorities.

It was gathered that the passengers landed at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport on Thursday without indicating how long they would be staying in the country.

They were held inside the charter plane for about 12 hours due to the complications surrounding their travel documents.

According to ABC News, a pastor who was allowed to meet with the passengers while they were still stuck on the plane on Thursday night, revealed that it was extremely hot and that children were screaming and crying for help.

South Africa’s Ministry of Home Affairs, however, intervened after 12 hours and a local non-governmental organization called Gift of the Givers offered to accommodate the passengers.

The Border Management Authority said on Friday that 23 passengers had since traveled on to other countries, leaving 130 in South Africa.

The country’s authority is currently investigating the matter to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
