Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has cautioned its members against engaging in anti-party activities, warning that it will no longer tolerate actions capable of causing internal friction and disunity within the party.
In a statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, said the party had intercepted what he described as “speculative and misleading claims” circulating online, alleging that some aggrieved members from Shinkafi Local Government Area had taken the party to court over alleged unconstitutional sanctions.
According to the reports, individuals identified as Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi, Kabiru Ibrahim and Ibrahim D. Kurya were said to have filed a suit on Friday November 16, under suit number ZMS/GS/65/2025, seeking judicial intervention over a purported disciplinary action by the party.
Gusau dismissed the report as false and mischievous, insisting that no member from Shinkafi had been sanctioned by the party and no court order had been issued on such a matter.
“The party is not aware of any disciplinary action or suspension involving its members from Shinkafi, nor has it received any directive from a court of law in that regard,” he said.
He alleged that those spreading the claims may be attempting to preempt possible sanctions due to their alleged involvement in anti-party activities and alleged closeness to the ruling PDP in the state.
Gusau stressed that the APC would not allow politically motivated misinformation to undermine the party’s renewed stability and growing support base in Zamfara.
