Umaru is reported to have agreed on a move to the Bees from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Niger Tornadoes.
Ranchers Bees are in talks with Niger Tornadoes to finalise a deal for experienced midfielder.
Umaru previously played for Kano Pillars and Yobe Desert Stars.
Ranchers Bees are determined to add more experienced players to their ranks in order to boost their chance of securing promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
The Kaduna-based club are top of the NNL Conference D with 17 points.
