Africa-Press – Nigeria. Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have killed at least five terrorists along the Sojiri axis of Konduga Local Government Area, Borno State.
A statement issued by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, said the development followed a gun battle between the troops and terrorists on Sunday morning.
He said the operation was carried out in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
“During the encounter, five terrorists were neutralised without any casualty to own troops, underscoring the professionalism, precision, and combat effectiveness of the security forces,” he said.
The statement added that the troops also rescued three civilians who were earlier abducted by the terrorists.
“Items recovered during the operation included AK-47 rifles and other sundry materials,” he added.
